Logo

1.You must design a logo that is describable, a logo that is memorizable, a logo that is effective without color, and one that is effective when scaled down to about an inch or so.
2.Also, before you design the logo you must understand it. You need to know what a logo is supposed to do and how to make it stand out. It is not just a mark, it reflects a whole company with how the logo is made. Its important to know how to make one.
3.A logo should be pretty simple, yet it should convey the point and the companies name when you look at it. For example McDonalds. Its logo is the two arches making the M. You know right when you see it that its McDonalds because its a big M.
4.You also need to learn from your mistakes in order to make a good logo. You should know what you did wrong and learn from it to make it better. This could take a few times until you get what you want.
5.The last thing you need to know is how to use the programs and software needed to create your logo. There is a lot of technology involved and without any knowledge of it then you will never be successful in creating a good logo.

Tesselation Picture

Tesselation HW

1.
What is a tessellation?

Tiles that together make up a picture
2.
Write a couple of paragraphs describing the life and work of M.C. Escher. Pick out important facts that describe who he is, how he worked, and why he is famous.

He is regarded as the father of modern tesselations. He believed in filling the whole page and leaving no white space. He was born in Holland in 1898 on June 17th and was the youngest and had 4 other brothers. He started out doing ink drawings and then his art teacher noticed that he had really good skills and he moved MC on to using wood as his material.

He did the 8 heads in 1922, which was just a preview of the great work to come. Also during that same year he took a trip to Spain and he used a lot of the tile patterns he saw there. He then took a trip to Italy where he met his wife and started a family. He toured the southern coast and that is when he did some of his most famous landscapes.
